Great menu. Lots of choices. I had the Halibut and Salmon Chowder and a couple Beers. Speaking of beer... Lots of Taps and a knowledgeable bartender. The service was great, personable and prompt. The view is AMAZING!

Juneau was one of our stops on our Alaskan 8-day Alaskan cruise. We definitely wanted to try some local food and all the locals that we asked recommended The Hangar. The Hangar was difficult to locate. We went around in circles, but we ended up finding it. The Hanger did not disappoint. We had great service. The restaurant is dark, but had great atmosphere overlooking the water and our cruise ship. We shared a halibut taco and had an alaskan amber - sooo good that we ordered two. This place is a must try!

The sourdough and the king crab are legit out of this world and there is not usually a crazy line like at Tracy's. Just walk a bit farther to the blue building down the dock. Everyone there was absolutely lovely.

Service was great! It was pretty busy but the service wasn't lacking. We ordered the Alaskan Crab soup bread bowl combo with the Ceasar salad. It was fantastic!! We also got a lb of Alaskan King crab to share! OMG it was amazing! Someone in our party got the Cheddar Prime rib sandwich. Which they absolutely loved. Very Happy with the meal! The service was great. The view was right on the water. We were able to watch sea planes land on the water while we were eating.

If you are a tourist like me and want to enjoy some Alaskan king crab while in Juneau, but do not want to wait in a huge line at Tracy's. Hangar's is a solid choice with a lot more options besides crab compared to Tracy's. Also nice if you are coming with kids can stop at Chilakot cove ice cream which is next door. Of course we ordered 2 pounds of king crab for $145, we splurged for sure but damn it was so good. The halibut n chips were fried perfectly meat was so tender. My son loved his seafood chowder and his bread bowl. My other son devoured his burger and sweet potato fries cooked his burger medium rare. The service was pretty good it was an experience for us but saw many locals there which says something about the place.

Solid, if pricey, dinner option. Lots of cruise folks, very crowded. Appetizers, drinks, two courses and tip ran about $150. Not unheard of, but there are cheaper options in town for similar quality. A good experience overall for date night. We sat by the window -- fun to watch the seaplanes come in and out, though the smell of exhaust was a bit much at times. Fish and chips was solid; my wife had the halibut burger that was also great. Nice selection of beers too. Nice spot for a special night out.
